Dr. Bendigo Shafter does not hold a doctorate from any traditionally recognized institutions, but has devoted his life to the study and handling of dangerous animals, such as Chipoos, and has amassed a wealth of lifesaving expertise in the process. An avid watcher of the History Channel, Dr. Shafter can speak authoritatively on a wide array of topics, from Civil War trivia to fringe UFOlogy. He lives in self-imposed exile in the northern regions of Michigan, far from the condemning eyes of our wayward scientific community.
