Rene Hernandez

Rene was born 1979 in Naga city, Philippines. His early years were spent in Manila and few years in New Jersey. At age 12, he migrated with his parents, brother and sister to Vancouver where he has resided since. At a very early age, he gained an interest in prose and excelled writing poetry and short stories. He shared the same interest in technology and as life would have it, he chose a career in that field. In 2018, he left his corporate job to pursue a independent consulting. This allowed him to spend more time with his wife, daughter and son. It was during these years where he found joy and inspiration with his two children, Amelia and Kai. Amelia, then 3 often made up silly stories and characters which inspired Rene to write a children's picture book based on those characters. Hence, Pink Fox was born. "The journey has just started and I'm thankful for everyday that I live and see the wonderous joys of childhood.. I love you Lia and Kai".
