Aimee F. Rop

My dream to be a writer and illustrator for a children's book has always been a goal for my passionate life. I am an Elementary art teacher for many future artists in Northern Virginia. I am also a mom to 2 active boys that keep me loving life's daily adventures. For fun I am a photographer of people, animals and nature. I love the color blue, cats and dragonflies.

“As children read, learn, and look at the pages of my book: What Would an Artist Do?, they are involved with my own creation. To know that a young child is relating to my character of young “Clementine”, and the feeling of following a passion and creating a dream that comes to life brings joy to my life! I think many children love the idea of having a passion for something at an early age, but then don’t follow up on pursuing that dream to the fullest. I want children to know that no matter what they enjoy, if they truly want it to become a part of their life, they need to “live it” each day.
