Juan Pita

Juan Pita is an experienced and passionate genealogical researcher with over twenty years' experience tracing his family roots across ten countries and dozens of cities and very small towns. He has moved abroad on several occasions to keep uncovering more about his ancestry. After a decade of research and thousands of hours in the archives, those family stories and old photographs became real people as he reconnected with relatives separated three generations ago. Juan remains deeply involved in learning more about his family origins, and continues to help others uncover the treasures hidden in their own past.

Born in Uruguay and living in Ireland for the past fifteen years, he is also the creator of Historias del Uruguay, a podcast of stories, legends and true cases from the old Banda Oriental, listened to by more than a hundred thousand people. El violín de Liam is his first novel.
