Anthony Haydock

Anthony Haydock lives in the North West of England with his family where he writes and illustrates.

He studied HND level Art and Design. Anthony used to work as a portrait photographer at a studio in Manchester. But he now works as a learning support assistant at a primary school.

As well as photography, Anthony’s interests are sports, painting, drawing, gardening, and playing the piano.

A few years ago, Anthony found his true passion in writing and illustrating children’s picture books, which he shared with his supportive family who encouraged him to pursue his writing and illustrating.

Five years ago Anthony’s first picture book Pog was published which he had written and illustrated.

Pog was a finalist in the Readers Choice Book Awards winter 2021 collection, and has since been nominated for The People's Book Prize.

Since then Anthony has written and illustrated five picture books. His latest Super-Secret Book of Monster was published in spring 2025.
