I come from a book-loving family. My father was a typesetter at first, then an editor. My uncle was a graphic designer. Our home was chockfull of books: already printed, still in galleys, as typewritten manuscripts, or as typeset proofs. I fell in love with the smell of freshly cut paper and the just-dry ink. And yet, when my career decision came, I’ve opted for the film industry.

Only now, in my late seventies, and retired from filmmaking, I could no longer resist the temptation of book publishing. And man, what a wonderful era to do it in. Desktop publishing, KDP self-publishing, Amazon distribution — those are super-marvelous toys for any storyteller.
