Jon Alexander Young

A Baby Boomer’s Last Stand trilogy is Jon Alexander Young’s first series of books as a published author but has written several articles and essays on the cultural decline of society and personal relationships in the twenty-first century.

Born in Wisconsin in 1969, Jon decided to study abroad in England in 1988, but he soon became fascinated with the new “Acid House Music” scene that was sweeping London during that time and was being described as the new “Summer of Love.” He dropped out of the London School of Economics in 1990 to manage several “Acid House Music DJ’s” and traveled with them throughout Western Europe until 1992.

It was while he was on tour in Hamburg Germany where Jon fell in love and met his wife Delores, and they were married in Paris on Valentine’s Day, 1992. Their first daughter was born only three months later and Jon realized his lifestyle of Sex, Fantasy, and Acid House Music wasn’t what he was destined to be doing for the rest of his life.

Returning to the United States with his new family, Jon resumed his undergraduate studies in finance, economics, and philosophy while working as a day trader to support his family which now included two more sons by 1994.

Jon and Delores were eventually able to purchase a bed and breakfast in Boston, where they raised their four sons and three daughters, and continue to live today.

Jon is currently working on his next book, tentatively titled, “The X Years”, a semi-autobiographical novel based on his own experiences in the early 1990s which he feels is the logical follow up to A Baby Boomer’s Last Stand.

it isn’t quite an empty nest for Jon and Delores yet as they still live with two sons, a daughter, who all millennials, as well as two dogs and one cat.
