Jay Kyle Petersen

Born intersex and raised on a small family farm in the Upper Midwest Plains of the United States, I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University, with additional Master's Degrees in Philosophy/Religion from San Jose State University, Masters Degree in Music Education University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelors' Degree in Art - Studio Art from SouthWest Minnesota State University. I have worked in the social work field and am an artist since 1977 after breaking free from drugs and alcohol. I served my country in AmeriCorp National Service as a case manager working with homeless veterans. In 2018 I was asked by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, London and Philadelphia to write an educational book A Comprehensive Guide To Intersex for professionals, intersex, allies and parents and all those interested in learning more about what intersex is and is not along with over 40+ variations of intersex.
