Tony Squire is a novelist of historical fiction, military adventure, and high-stakes thriller fiction.

After serving 21 years as a soldier in the British Army, following in his father’s footsteps, Tony turned his lifelong fascination with history, conflict, and human endurance into storytelling. His military background brings authenticity to the battlefield, special forces, and survival elements that run through much of his work, while his deep love of the past fuels stories rich in realism, atmosphere, and emotional truth.

His adult novels range from powerful war fiction centred on ANZAC soldiers of the Great War, to stories exploring the legend and legacy of Ned Kelly, through to the fast-paced Evelyn Kane Mysteries — a series that blends archaeology, ancient secrets, espionage, and special forces action. Beginning with Escape to Eden and continuing in City of Death, the Evelyn Kane books follow a former MI6 analyst and archaeologist as she uncovers truths powerful enough to reshape the modern world.

Tony is also currently developing a major new historical fiction series set during the American Civil War, continuing his passion for bringing pivotal moments in history vividly to life through compelling characters and immersive storytelling.

Alongside his adult fiction, Tony has also written children’s books featuring Buckley the Yowie, Shony the Pony, and Little Timmy, bringing the same sense of adventure and heart to younger readers.
