Claire L Smith

Claire L. Smith (she/her) is an Australian author and visual artist.

Her debut gothic horror novella, 'Helena' was published by CLASH Books with her most recent novel, 'Agnes and Cat' is a body/folk horror story inspired by fae folklore. Her next book will be a rerelease of her YA horror novella 'When We Entered That House' from Squirm Books, coming early 2026.

Her creative and nonfiction writings have appeared in outlets such as Morbidly Beautiful, Moonchild Magazine, Luna Luna Magazine, Peculiars Magazine, Horror Scribes, the Horror Tree and more. Her short story 'The Last Runt' was apart of the Ditmar Award-Nominated horror collection 'This Fresh Hell' by Clan Destine Press.

She has illustrated and designed covers for a range of presses and publications including Off Limits Press, Ghost Orchid Press, Cemetery Gates Media, The Ghastling Press, Tenebrous Press and more.
