John Herm

John Herm was raised on a farm in Illinois before moving to Wisconsin to attend medical school. He has been writing poems and stories over the past several decades, and claims that “truth is funnier than fiction”.

In 2020 John published his first book of stories, Things in the Skillet. He also enjoys writing poetry and published his first poetry book, Wild Plums, in 2018. In his upcoming memoir, Dr. Herm shares stories and experiences from his 41-year-long career in emergency medicine.
