Michelle Fitzsimmons

Michelle was born in Edgware & grew up in Hertfordshire UK for most of her life. She has four children and they all now live in Tavistock, Devon with their little doggy Tinker and Patch the rabbit.

Michelle has a BA Hons degree in Film and Media Studies. She is very well known for her notorious laugh. Her friends call her Michelle machine gun or Woody woodpecker! When she laughs, everyone laughs!

Michelle loves being a Mummy Children's Author and host of the Manifesting Talk-show, Two Comma Coffee Club. She began writing stories when she was truly little (she is still quite little). She remembers giving her primary school teacher a new story every Monday that she had written on the weekend. Her teacher absolutely loved them and couldn’t wait to read the next one!

​Michelle finds inspiration for her children’s stories from her children and the places they visit. In the Habitat Drive Series, locals may just find a place name or two borrowed from lovely Dartmoor.

Michelle loves reading to her younger children, especially a bedtime story in her pyjamas with a mug of hot chocolate. Even Tinker their doggy joins in sometimes.

​As a young child, Michelle loved to listen to tales of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter and Winnie the Pooh stories by A. A Milne. As she grew older, she would indulge herself in the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis as well as the entire Roald Dahl collection.

​Hush Now began as a spark of inspiration from Michelle’s love of owls and other woodland creatures.

​Michelle is currently writing new stories about other woodland families who live in Habitat Drive. She is excited to be able to share them all with you in time.
