Author Simon Potter is a broadcaster and writer, and an active volunteer at Peterborough Rugby Club in England, where he was the founder of the girls’ section and remains team manager of the girls’ teams, as well as being fixture secretary of the whole Age Grade (what used to be called Mini and Junior) Section.
Proud moments include being presented with ‘Valued Volunteer’ status by East Midlands RFU in 2015, 2021 and 2022, winning Peterborough’s Clubman of the Year trophy in 2018 and being voted ‘Unsung Hero’ in the 2019 Sports Awards run by local newspaper, The Peterborough Telegraph, the same year in which his under-15 girls’ side was a finalist in the National Rugby Awards.
Previous books include 'Simon Potter Has the Perfect Face for Radio', 'Weird and Wonderful Tales of Peterborough' and a novel called 'Unsportsmanlike Conduct'.
