Joe G. Morin

I was born in Seymour, Indiana. I grew up on a small farm in Jennings County. Our major crop was Christmas Trees that my dad sold for over 30 years. My major interests has always been history, both World and United States, and psychology. My writing reflects my childhood in Indiana where my grandfather would tell stories around an old pot-belly shove. He was a rural school teacher and farmer.

I graduated from Purdue University (BA) and Indiana University (MA). I was probably the last person that was drafted in my county. My experiences working in many different types of positions throughout my life gives me a unique insight into my characters. To name a few of my working experiences are: farm laborer, construction carpenter, steel mills worker, auto plant worker, teacher and administrator, and in the army as a weapon squad leader.

I have taught students ranging from teenagers to adults from the intercity to teaching English to students from all over the world. I love adventure, romance, legends, poetry and fantasy stories.

We have just finished such a series called: The Land of the Eagle Feathers. This modern day series consists of four books. Each book contains Native American legends, mysticism, poetry, adventure and romance. We also have published a short cookbook with mountain recipes and two books of poems.

Our newest book is "Jo Ann's Virtual Cafe." This book was a the result of Jo Ann Bullard's blog on Facebook which is published daily regarding Appalachia folklore to East Tennessee history to short stories and daily amusing about day to day life in Eastern Tennessee. Come check it out at Jo Ann Bullard's Facebook site.
