Jesper Persson is an author from Sweden, who wrote autobiographies about his previous life as a criminal. The first book From Svensson to a criminal and the way back, which came out in 2008, is written as an explanation to his children.

In his autobiographies he describes how it all started, what went wrong, about weapons, robbery, belonging to a motorcycle gang and all the demands it entailed, the harsh prison environment, what it was like to sit inside when you suffered a stroke, heart attack, aphasia and how it affected him both mentally and physically. Once he has mucked, he describes his struggle to be able to become part of society again, with, among other things, work, housing and social adaptation.

Jesper now writes detective stories, and the first was released in 2019. In future books, some of the characters are recurring, and in addition to the Swedish version will also be translated into English. The next book is expected to be released in the summer of 2021.

The first book is called From Svensson Till Kriminell and Vägen Tillbaka.
