Bobbie Ziemer is an Ohio native living just outside of Columbus. She’s the mother of three incredible children and she has had a very successful as well as reputable career in telecom sales working for all the major worldwide providers.
Bobbie lost her oldest child, Madison forever 22, on October 10th, 2017. Although she is not able to share her own story due to a pending lawsuit, she has made it her mission to help spread awareness, open dialog around the topic that is extremely taboo while creating a space for those struggling as well as grieving to know they are not as alone as she felt during and after the battle to save her daughters life.
Bobbie will be publishing a series of books beginning with "Not In Vain: Mothers Share their Journey through their Child’s Life and Loss to the Drug Pandemic Volume I" which includes over 160 real-life stories written directly from the mothers of the children lost. Follow up volumes will follow sharing more stories from additional mothers. Additional series to follow will include "Not In Vain: The Aftermath" picking up from the funeral to present around the devastation caused to a family upon losing a family member after addiction; including what happens with the child(ren) of the deceased, the family dynamics, employment, relationships and so on as the ripple effect continues to rip through loved ones.
It's time to stop turning away or believing that if we close our eyes this isn't happening to your neighbor, friend or relative...or worse yet one of your immediate family members. It's time we pay attention, learn and act in joining together in promoting change and help for all who are struggling. This is what Bobbie Ziemer is trying to help with.
