Danielle Morton

Danielle Morton grew up on Long Island, New York before moving to California at 13 years old. She received her teaching credential from California State University, Long Beach. She later received her Master's Degree in Education Administration. She chose to stay in the classroom where her heart is. Danielle has been an elementary school teacher in Orange County, California for 25 years and has taught grades kindergarten through second. One of her favorite times of the school day is reading to her students. She loves seeing the excitement in her students while they are hearing a story that completely engages them. Writing a children’s book has been a dream for many years and now with her first book complete she is looking forward to writing more. Danielle enjoys concerts, movies, reading, dancing, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. Her father used to say, “Always be childlike, never childish.” Teaching young children helps her keep to that motto.
