Karen Moran

Karen lives in Western Australia with her husband and two daughters. She emigrated from England when the children were still very young. The family grew up in Australia, as Australians, enjoying a lifestyle in wide open areas surrounded by nature and wildlife.

Karen started writing in 2020 as the world entered COVID lockdown. It seemed an appropriate time to embrace a long time ambition to write and publish children's stories, starting with a funny preschool picture book with the main character being "Roley the Dog" (her loveable Schnoodle fur baby) and a commitment to add further books to the series.

Over many years, Karen and her husband spent hours and hours reading stories to their children, enjoying becoming part of the story with different dialects, expressions and actions.

Children carry the memories of their childhood books with them throughout their lives and eventually share them with their own children. Every child should have the opportunity to be part of multiple stories, collecting favorite characters along the way.
