Hi, I’m David Scidmore, and I love weaving together rich, detailed, and layered stories of fantasy, romance, and drama set on an epic scale.

I have always been a huge fan of fantasy and science fiction. The first books I can recall reading were the Oz series by L. Frank Baum, which consumed many a pleasant evening while staying at my grandparents’ one summer. In the years that followed, I found that many of my favorite stories were tales of people from Earth transported to worlds of terror and wonder. I relished in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R. Donaldson, and the Darwath series by Barbara Hambly. So it is perhaps no surprise that when I contemplated my first significant project, I found myself gravitating toward the idea of sending ordinary people to a terrifying realm of the fantastical. The result is “Dellia,” the tale of a physicist and his friend being thrust into the world of Meerdon.

I am presently engrossed in writing the sequel, “Aylun,” which tells the other half of the story. You see, two people were sent to another world, and we only know what happened to one of them. Understanding the path that Megan tread is crucial to appreciating what comes next for everyone in “Dellia.”
