Bernadette Molina, born in 1990 in South East Los Angeles, grew up in a Mexican-American and Salvadorian-American family. Since she was a child, she has always been involved in the kitchen, watching and learning from her mother and grandma. Additionally, when Bernadette was a child, her mother owned and operated a bakery. Being around her mother’s bakery influenced Bernadette who is now a second-generation food entrepreneur, in addition to an author.
Having worked in the beauty industry for 10 years, Bernadette always kept her love for cooking to herself. She created and tried different recipes in her own kitchen to entertain her family and friends.
With the objective of honoring the matriarchs who nourished and nurtured her during her entire life, Bernadette decided to create Herencia Cookbook, a book that shares those Latin recipes she cherishes, accompanied by anecdotes and with a unique touch for all those modern women out there: nutritious tips and useful hacks to make cooking easier, faster and simpler. By sharing her recipes, Bernadette hopes every Latin woman can feel identified with the stories and, most importantly, can think of their own mother, grandmas, tías, and all the women who nurtured them.
Bernadette lives in Los Angeles with her husband and her newborn baby boy.
