Rob Deptford is an on-camera storyteller, media trainer, and digital marketing educator with a background in broadcasting, marketing and communications, education management and leadership. He helps leaders and business owners learn critical brand-broadcasting skills and strategies for the digital-first business era.
After studying journalism, Rob had a brief broadcast news career prior to holding marketing and communications roles in the Canadian post-secondary education system. There he merged his public speaking and marketing skills to speak to audiences across the country, helping drive record enrolment applications.
With businesses making digital transformations faster than ever, and consumer demand for online video growing rapidly, Rob jumped on the opportunity to teach how to effectively show up on camera and leverage video communication as a business tool more powerful than anything the average person has ever done in their home movie recording experience.
A husband and a parent of two athletic boys, Rob spends a lot of time enjoying family activities like hiking, camping, skiing and driving kids to hockey games and practices.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Journalism from Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, a broadcasting diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and an International Coach Federation accredited certificate from Erickson Coaching International in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
