Bridget Portmann

Bridget Dassie Portmann grew up in South Africa where she studied to be a high school math and history teacher. She decided to abandon conventionality and moved to Switzerland in her 20's to pursue her love of skiing. Being surrounded by the Swiss Alps and her work in Outdoor Education instilled a passion for hiking and the outdoors. After hiking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, she decided it was time for a bigger adventure and headed to the USA to hike the Continental Divide Trail.
