Michele Merens

Michele Merens is a writer and playwright interested in the unexpected narratives of individuals and societies; those connections to inner flash points that reveal core truths. She was a winner in the 2020 Philosophy Op-ed Contest judged by editors at the New York Times and Brooklyn Public Library, a Puffin Grant recipient, a semi-finalist in the Princess Grace Playwriting Awards Competition, a Barnard College Senior Scholar in Creative Writing. Her column and fiction credits include: Plum Hamptons, Lilith, Third Wednesday, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Poetica and others.

She holds a BA from Barnard College and a MSJ from Northwestern University.
