Michel Charifzadeh

Michel Charifzadeh has been Professor of Accounting at the ESB Business School at Reutlingen University since 2011. He has extensive teaching experience both nationally and internationally, particularly in English, in the fields of corporate finance, international financial reporting, management accounting & control, value-oriented corporate management, company valuation and mergers & acquisitions. In addition to his work as a professor, he also works as a trainer and lecturer at various further education institutions. Prof. Charifzadeh publishes regularly in internationally renowned scientific journals and is co-author of several textbooks in the field of management accounting. He is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change.

His academic education includes studies in economics and business administration in Stuttgart (Hohenheim), Munich (LMU) and Halmstad (Sweden). In 2002, he was awarded a doctorate from the EBS University für Wirtschaft und Recht.

Prior to his academic career, Charifzadeh worked at Siemens AG in the Corporate Finance/Mergers & Acquisitions department. There he was responsible for numerous company acquisitions and sales for Siemens, including in the telecommunications, financial services and logistics sectors.
