J. Patrick Lane

My real name is Jesse Lane Moore. I go by J. Patrick Lane for a couple reasons. The "Patrick" of my name represents both my late father and late oldest brother's middle name. My brother Ben was an extremely talented artist and writer before his untimely passing. He was like my other half, and to this day I miss him unbearably. So I will honor him in every project I create. The other reason is to begin my journey as my own person when it comes to my accomplishments. Sometimes the only way to grow is beyond the reservations.

I am an artist of varying fields, and an aspiring writer in which I hope to gain a career doing what I love which is to create stories with my untamed imagination for the reading audiences, and I also happen to be a huge lover of cinema both classic and modern(though classic is more a constant). I actually have always wanted to write scripts as well, but with novels I am every cast member, production crew member, director etc etc.. My vision truly comes to life with books. Maybe if I'm lucky, a book of mine would inspire someone to adapt it.

My love of horror brought me to such titans of literature as Stephen King, Clive Barker, Dean Koontz, H.P. Lovecraft, Peter Straub, and Richard Matheson. It is that pantheon that I dream of being a part of someday if ever. If you have read this far, then I thank you for your interest and hope you continue to keep books alive by picking one up and diving in. Just don't go too far towards the deep end. ;)
