Joseph (Joey) Pyle is a very complex and deep individual.
Born into a London family of criminal ‘Royalty,’ he has led a full and very colourful life.
He has mixed and worked with every top criminal in the UK, The Krays, Richardson, Freddie Foreman, Frankie Fraser, Charlie Bronson, Roy Shaw, Lenny Mclean, Howard Marks, Ronnie Biggs, Bruce Reynolds, Paul Ferris…. To name just a few.
Joe was one of the youngest professional boxing promoters in history (UK) and was the youngest promoter ever to stage a professional boxing world title contest in the UK.
Boxing is Joe’s first love, but outside of boxing, his life has been eclectic, frantic, and unique.
President of his own union at just 29-year-old, he courted politicians in the houses of parliament while at the same time was the director of two PLC companies, plus managed internationally famed pop artist such as Mark Morrison and Brian Harvey. He was partners with Suge Knight of Death Row Records, and Ori Spado (Mafia associate – dubbed the Mob Boss of Hollywood.
He has spent times in prison in the UK, Spain, Cyprus, and Angola (part of the process – Joe remarks)
His phone book is a who’s who of the underworld and the celebrity world where he mixes with the same ease and poise.
One of the complexities of his mind is his love for poetry. Joe has been compared to Lord Tennyson and Tony Soprano – it’s a bizarre mix, one which Joe wears well.
If you ask him what is next, he will smile and casually reply, “Who knows what will happen – I’m in god’s hands!
