Lauren Dalzell Settles

Lauren Dalzell Settles grew up flying recreationally with her father. When he passed away in 2016, she carried on his love of flight and inspiring young children about aviation. She became a pilot which led to her development of the 1st Girls' Aviation Day at her local airport. Through this she saw how inspired young women were about all things aviation.

Not finding many books depicting girls and women in aviation roles, she decided to write an inspiring tale of a little girl with a dream that became reality. Through this she hopes to increase the awareness of the attainable world of aviation for all children.

Lauren Dalzell Settles was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky where she currently resides with her two children, Dawson and Evie.
