Daniel Azcona

Daniel Azcona was born in New York in 1965 and grew up in Madrid.

At the age of twenty, he began a journey that took him to study economics and biology in Providence, Rhode Island, and later earn an MBA in Austin, Texas.

He spent much of his professional life between Mexico and France, working for Cemex. In 2008, he moved with his family to Toulouse.

Living across languages and countries has shaped both his perspective and his writing. He writes from close observation of everyday life, with a direct and understated style—more concerned with accompanying the reader than impressing them.

He is the author of several collections of short stories, including Aventuras Cotidianas (2020), Prefiero que me trates de tú, Pensar en ti, and Sabor a vida, among others.

His work explores memory, human relationships, and the subtle moments that often go unnoticed but leave a lasting trace.

He is currently working on his next book and divides his time between Toulouse and Llançà.
