Dawn Cochrane King

Dawn Cochrane King is an author, educator, national speaker, and grief specialist. She has over 20 years of experience as a bereavement ministry director, hospice volunteer, grief support group facilitator, and manager of special education departments for local elementary schools. Her passion to encourage, enlighten, and educate is why she writes.

With master’s degrees in educational leadership and special education, Dawn inspires others to embrace teachable moments. After writing a children’s book to teach an important life lesson, she wrote (for adult readers) a book she’d been carrying in her heart for years. Dawn is extremely happy to share that “Survivor’s Nuggets” was released and is available in both paperback and Kindle formats. The book is designed to walk readers through the stages of grief to find hope.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Dawn has been a long-time resident of Southern Nevada where she enjoys living and laughing with her husband. She also loves visits and phone calls with her daughter, parents, siblings, “bonus daughter and son”, other special relatives, and sweet friends.

When not writing, Dawn enjoys reading, listening to music, attending concerts, baking, binge watching dramatic TV shows, and interacting with her Journey Lessons Community members.
