Maxwanette A Poetess, born Maxine A. Moncrieffe, is a Jamaican-American poet, author, publisher, digital creator, and entrepreneur raised in Brooklyn, New York, by Jamaican-born parents. Introduced to poetry at the age of five, she quickly discovered that writing was more than creativity; it was healing, survival, expression, and purpose. As a child, she wrote Haikus daily, building a lifelong relationship with words that later helped her navigate hardships, including homelessness, family trauma, and life’s many emotional storms.
Today, Maxwanette uses her voice, platforms, and businesses to inspire others through literature, publishing, media, culture, and motivational storytelling. She is the author of “Poetry, Language of the Soul Vol. I” and “The Poetic Storm Vol. II,” publisher of “The Unlimited Mind” by Hyacinth Williams-Moncrieffe, and creator of the “Color With Me” coloring book series supporting Autism Awareness. She is also the founder of Cyber Clerical Associates, a publishing and creative services company dedicated to helping writers, entrepreneurs, and creatives bring their visions to life professionally and authentically.
Maxwanette is the publisher of PLOTS JAMERICAN MAGAZINE “The Jamaican-American Diaspora,” a publication celebrating creativity, culture, arts, ancestry, and the Jamaican-American experience. She also hosts “Beyond The Surface – The Podcast,” where conversations focus on humanity, healing, creativity, empowerment, and truth.
Currently studying Digital Marketing through Cornell University, Maxwanette continues combining technology, storytelling, publishing, and media to expand her mission globally. She has also returned to another lifelong passion: singing.
Known for her wit, authenticity, encouragement, and cultural pride, Maxwanette believes creativity has the power to unite people across every background and generation. Her personal motto, “Creativity is humanity’s algorithm,” reflects her belief that creativity is one of humanity’s greatest tools for connection, healing, transformation, and hope worldwide.
Through her publishing, public relations, podcasting, and digital content work, Maxwanette remains committed to uplifting independent voices while encouraging others to embrace their gifts fearlessly. Whether through poetry, storytelling, business services, or cultural media, her goal is to leave behind meaningful work that inspires people to heal, create, grow, and keep believing every day.
