Miguel Alexander

Born in St.Lucia in the Caribbean, Miguel has lived in the U.K for over 27 years. His life experience has gifted him with a wealth of knowledge of the world around. With a great love for nature, he shares his enthusiasm for the natural world as a Geography teacher. His spare time is often spent engaging in the arts of drawing, photography and a bit of light DJing.

Miguel has a passion for engaging with people of all walks of life, to learn and share knowledge and experiences for the purpose of self and community development. Most of his life, Miguel has enjoyed writing song lyrics and short stories, he would record and share with his friends. This hobby grew into lifestyle of creating and performing songs on stages all over London. As the desire to become a recognised U.K rapper slowly withered away, the passion to write engaging stories remained.

Fast-forward to today and Miguel has developed his ideas and decided to start a publishing company with the help of his dear friend and business partner Nikhita Jaya. The company named Black Gold Publishing was established to provide Afrocentric and Asian media for the mass public. This includes notebooks, diaries and journals with an Afro/Asian influence. Black gold publishing also provides a number of educational kids books, e.g - My First Kweyole book series, as well as a number of Caribbean based kids fantasy story books, currently in production.
