Pamela Vaughn has been an educator in public school systems for over 25 years. She served not only as a classroom and online teacher, but also as the professional development specialist for her district. She achieved National Board Certification and was a finalist for Alabama Teacher of the Year. She loves books that not only educate, but spark children's imaginations and cause them to wonder. Pamela is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and is also a member of the Cherokee Tribe of Northeast Alabama.
Pamela currently lives on the beautiful Central Coast of California. Her home state is Alabama, but she has also resided in Mississippi, the birthplace of America's music and in the great state of Ohio, as well. Masks Rule! Germs Drool! was inspired by a small boy who was with his mother at the local market. The boy and his mother were wearing a mask to protect themselves from germs. The boy, however, had his mask pulled down exposing his nose. Pamela wrote this book to help little ones, like the boy at the market, embrace what they need to do to keep themselves safe as well as their family. She believes children learn best with stories and colorful pictures. Hopefully, Masks Rule! Germs Drool! will help children learn to be superheroes in the fight against unfriendly germs.
