NASIRU GARBA

Nasiru Garba is a researcher, a translator and a writer. He was born in Nigeria sometime in 1961and he stated learning Islamic sciences at an early age. In the early 1980’s he went to the Sudan in order to improve his Arabic language science and to study Islamic sciences, in the then Islamic African Centre (now International African University, Khartoum, Sudan), in the capital, Khartoum.

While in the Sudan he obtained a Certificate in Arabic Language, a Diploma in Dawa’ah and Islamic Studies and B.A degree in Geography. After returning to Nigeria he obtained an M.Sc. degree in Land Resources Administration and he works as a civil servant and rose to the rank of Director.

He has written a lot of books on Islamic sciences and translated others from the Arabic Language. Among the books he translated are:

1. Incoherence of Shia Creed; The path of the Sunnah of the Prophet (s.a.w), by Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taimiyyah (which was a translation of the abridged book titled Minhaj as-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah.

2. Demystification of Shia Creed, by Ayatullah Abul Fadl al-Borqei. A former Shia scholar. The book is a response to Muraja’at of AbdulHusain Sharafudden al-Musawi.

3. Deconstruction of the right path (Muraja’at), a book written by Abdullah al-Ghamidi in response to the Muraja’at, which was written by AbdulHusain Sharafuddeen al-Musawi.

4. Imamate and Caliphate in islam; An objective textual perspective, by Ustaz Ali Haidar Qalmandaran al-Qummi.

5. Incoherence of Shia Scholastic theology on Devine authority (Imamate), by Hujjatullah Niko’ei.

Among the books he wrote are (most of his books are still in manuscripts form):

1. Sexual Pervasion in Shiism and among the Shia.

2. Trial and Tribulation in Islam.

3. The wretched relationship between Shia and the Imams (How Shia persecuted the Ahlul Bayt).
