Bob Turner worked in the television business for over 40 years. His experience spanned an era which began with networks commanding 99% of the prime viewing audience and ended with TV audience fractionalized with over 200 options.
Turner's career crisscrossed from advertising executive to cable TV management, to syndication to the startup of two independent production and distribution companies, to a movie studio, to the TV talk show arena, to game shows and made-for-tv movies. His experiences with stars and personalities are wide ranging and occurred during a time of great social and technological changes.
Turner launched a new career path at age 70 when he ran for Congress, winning the seat once held by Anthony Weiner. The race drew national attention, including involvement from such diverse personalities as former New York City Mayors Ed Koch and Rudy Giuliani, Dov Hikind, Pat Boone, Roger Ailes, Donald Trump and many others.
Bob is the patriach of a large family with five grown children and thirteen grandchildren. He resides in Rockaway Point, Queens and spends his leisure time reading, golfing , bicycling, swimming in the ocean and skiing.
