Peter Mack

Born in the UK, 1963 and raised in Yorkshire, England. He worked as a Technical Author writing Electronics Technical Manuals in Manchester. Back then he wrote the maintenance manual for the east coast main line trains, (Class 91 London Kings Cross to Edinburgh trains). He was made redundant 18 months into a new job, then picked up another authoring role for a company in Harrogate.

He progressed and became a software consultant. The new role flew him all over the world for six years. He developed lots of ideas for novels based on real life events. There were some unreal situations, a Taxi ride through the graffiti and bullet ridden back streets of Tel-Aviv. The narrow enclosed streets of Marseille old port and fishermen's bars. Scenes from the French Connection were shot there. A visit to the International Hospital of Bahrain with an eye infection. Not the typical consultants hotel and office work trip!

He has two sons, now grown up and a wonderful wife of 30+ years, she needs a medal! You will find him walking with their rescue dogs in West Yorkshire.

His debut novel 'The Last Assignment', comes from an idea whilst working at a well known high-street bank. It has taken him years to find time, sit down and write it. The experience of writing became an obsession, writing more and more, developing the characters and story.
