Elizabeth Poole was born in 1982 in Colorado Springs. Since she was just five years old she enjoyed being a storyteller. As she grew she found delight in writing. By the time she was in 3rd grade, she had a dream of becoming an author of children's books. After taking a few creative writing classes, homeschooling her six children, opening an in-home preschool, and receiving an Early Childhood Education degree through Ashford University, she decided to put her dream into action.
Elizabeth Poole is dedicated to helping children play, learn, dream, and grow with self-confidence and kindness. She is the author and creator of the Alphabet Troop curriculum for young children and the author of many Children's Books to encourage and inspire children.
Elizabeth enjoys giving her children opportunities to use their incredible talents, therefore, each member of her family continues to contribute to the stories and curriculum. Harmony is the illustrator, Nephi is the photographer, Noah is the music and rhyme maker, and Liberty has brilliant ideas for stories. The two youngest members of the "Poole Pack," Faith, and Brigham, are the current testers to all the fun educational activities. Elizabeth's husband of many loving years is the editor. This family-owned "business" has strengthened family bonds, which Elizabeth is grateful for beyond measure.
Elizabeth cherishes her family time and enjoys playing board games, throwing unique parties, hiking, and watching movies and sports (Go Hogs!) with her family. When she is not spending time with family, teaching preschool, or writing, she enjoys energy healing, painting, yoga, scrapbooking, and reading.
