Francesca Da Sacco

The works of Francesca Da Sacco explore the blurred edge between the real

and the dreaming, weaving tales that are touching and terrifying at the same time.

She likes to play with contrasts, using a cartoony style to narrate adult themes,

poetry to illustrate horror, the refinement of fables to stage complex situations.

Inspired by Edward Gorey’s elegant and distinct dream-like style,

by John Kenn Mortensen’s monsters and by Alejandro Jodorowsky’s mystic visions,

the author composed her own personal mythology, seeped into an everyday

life precariously balanced over a chasm of horrors and wonders.
