Mark began writing at the age of 14 as a way to release his overwhelming emotions that seemed trapped inside. He soon discovered he could write about his darkest thoughts and wildest dreams without hurting anyone or himself. He found the voice he never had, but always wanted. All his emotions poured out into words and phrases he didn’t know possible. With each dream, came a love poem. With each painful poem, came healing. What started as a simple tool and coping skill to deal with life’s stressors turned into a mission to help others through their own trials and tribulations.
He is passionate about working with those experiencing deep emotional pain. As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Mark believes healing and hope are foundational. Writing brings the much needed healing and hope to the writer, as well as the reader. In turn, life becomes inspiring even in the midst of tragedy and trauma.
Mark is driven by the profound emotions that stir within each of us. Brought on by the joys of love and beauty only to be contrasted with fearful pain and loss, he writes unapologetically from the depths of his heart.
Inspired by music: strings and keys touch and move the essence of his soul. His passion for music can be seen throughout his life. Mark’s passionate love for his wife has influenced and shaped his life and the many aspects of who he is.
