Paul S Shaw

Following a full career in the British Army, much of which was in the cold war years. Then a further 18 years working for blue chip companies Paul took early retirement in 2015 and has found writing a relaxing way of passing his days in retirement.

His writing started with his story of 25 years service in the British Army - 'A Military Chefs Journey', and followed with two cookery books. 'A Survival Guide to British Catchphrase' was published in 2020, followed by 'A Survival Guide to Carbon Neutrality' that has just been published in February 2021. The Survival Guide to Retirement was published in January 2023.

Paul delved into the world of poetry in 2025 publishing 'When You Go Home (An Anthology of Military Poetry Through Time)' and 'When You Go Home -Volume 2 (A Collection of Military Poems)' in 2026. Hi most recent publication is 'Around Britain in Poems'.

Paul shares his life with his wife of over 48 years 'Wendy' who is also his biggest critic.
