Having for decades advocated ardently for environmental sustainability, as well as for employee ownership and employee democracy in businesses, Dean Adams Curtis ran for the United States Democratic Party's presidential nomination in 1991 and 1992.
Subsequently, he worked throughout the entertainment industry, including at MGM United Artists, where he was the Director of Multimedia Development at the founding of MGM Interactive, and where he helped guide the company's premier internet presence.
Dean's lifelong sustainability studies led to him getting U.S. Green Building Council LEED accredited, and then to him serving as an instructor for the UCLA Extension Global Sustainability Program and for the Sherry Lansing/UCLA Extension online learning environment, UCLA Empowered.
While at UCLA, Dean also managed operations of the School of Engineering's Smart Grid Energy Research Center as it participated in creating a smart grid for LA, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy.
Amazon publication of Dean's autobiographical roadtrip, "Running for President on $10 a Day" is the book's premier retailer reveal. Additionally, Dean offers access to internet installments of his other writings at his website, studioinastudioDOTcom.
