Amanda Wilson is an author and mental health advocate from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. A graduate of Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, she holds degrees in English Literature and Education.
She first gained recognition through her mental health blog, where her honest and vulnerable writing connected with readers worldwide. Her work has led to collaborations with organizations such as the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), #SickNotWeak, and To Write Love on Her Arms, and contributions to The Mighty.
Amanda made her print debut in 2017 with The i’Mpossible Project: Lemonade Stand, followed by her first novel, Where the Land Meets the Sea (2020). Her second book, Lonely Thoughts From the Psych Ward, is a deeply personal collection exploring her journey with mental health.
She lives in Corner Brook with her husband, children, and rescue cat, Daeny—and is rarely far from a warm chai latte.
