Dr. Christy A Chambers

Dr. Christy Chambers Burke has local, state and international experience as a leader in the field of education. She began her career as a special education teacher before assuming the roles of professional development coordinator, diagnostic services supervisor, federal grants manager, principal, director and superintendent. She is currently Director of KCAA Kuapa Preschool in Hawaii Kai. She is also CEO of the consulting group, Beyond the Box, LLC.

Experience and capacity to lead change in the area of restructuring and improving education delivery systems has been the hallmark of her career and has led to significant reform within Illinois and has been recognized nationally. Christy is the recipient of state and international awards for leadership and is the author and frequent presenter of leadership workshops and academies on “Leading with Heart in Times of Cardiac Arrest" and the "Journey to Effective Leadership".
