My 96 years young Dad and I worked together during COVID 19 shelter in place to create and publish Dear Selma, a book of his love letters to my mother during WWII. Dad was in Portland and I was in San Francisco. So many memories came pouring forth as we read the letters for the first time in 75 years and asked questions for clarification, like "how did you get letters while you were in the foxholes?" and "tell us more about the time you ....." Reading these letters and watching their love evolve over time has been a treasure. This collaboration has truly been the highlight of my life and our special father daughter relationship!
