Srianthi Perera

Srianthi Perera grew up in 1970s Sri Lanka immersed in books under a frangipani tree and most always with a dog at her feet. When not reading, she observed and delighted in the world around her, and filed away those memories for later use.

Not surprisingly, she studied for a degree in English literature and embarked on a lifelong career in journalism that launched in her homeland and later continued in the Sultanate of Oman, Canada and the United States of America.

Travel is another passion that developed along the way; a by-product, if you will. She has visited dozens of countries in six continents and plans to visit more. Now that A Maiden’s Prayer is published, her next long-form writing project, a book of travel stories, awaits her attention.

Srianthi lives in Arizona with her husband. The household is pet-free, unless you count the scorpions that sometimes crawl around.
