Sima Ballinger

Sima Ballinger grew up and was raised in the small town of Ecorse, Michigan. She grew up in a Christian home with three siblings. Her father was a preacher and had Bibles and commentaries all along the walls of their home. Both of her parents were avid writers. Her father wrote sermons in notebooks and her mother spent many days writing speeches that she would deliver at community events. Sima took advantage of the resources provided in her home and learned much about the Bible as a little girl and teenager. At the age of 12, she gave her first official public speech at a Baptist church meeting, which she had written herself. That was the beginning of her writing experience. Sima is a Dale Carnegie honors graduate of the Effective Speaking and Human Relations Course and holds a B.B.A. from Davenport University. Sima has been writing for many years online and wrote for a celebrity pastor as a ghost writer. As a freelance writer, her article, "10 Characteristics of a Passionate Person," has been viewed 71,000 times, on HubPages. And "How to be a Great MC, Moderator and Host," has been viewed 25,000 times. She is the First Lady of HobbyTown (Southfield), where she is a Brand Ambassador and loves playing the Bounce Back Paddle Ball, previously called the Bolo Bat. Sima can paddle 200 times non-stop as documented in her You-tube video. She founded the Hobby Scholars Program where she teaches children hobbies. Sima enjoys playing board games, flying her RC plane and family gatherings. Sima resides in Southfield, MI with her husband Marvin.
