Susan Rubin

Susan Rubin has written nine fully produced plays, winning recognition from the Los Angeles Times, the LA Weekly, and garnering prestigious Garland and Ovation awards. For two decades, she received commissions from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission and the Cultural Affairs Department of Los Angeles. Her works have been produced at the New York Theater Workshop, Baltimore Center Stage, the Los Angeles Theatre Center, where she was in residence for six years, and LA’s Bootleg and Circle X theaters.

In addition, Rubin has written 25 documentaries about Domestic Violence, Early Forced Marriage, Women’s Reproductive Rights, and the international treatment of women. Many have been screened for President Barack Obama’s White House Commission on the Status of Women.
