Claire Butler

Claire Butler is an author and artist, living in Cincinnati, Ohio. If she's not writing, she's painting, studying the French language, or planning the next dinner party. She studies English and Literature at the University of Mount St. Joseph. "Conversations With the Tuesday Night Girls" was born one Tuesday night during a regular weekly Tuesday meeting of 10 women who gather for cocktails and conversation; the group began in 2009. Claire’s second book, "Someday You Will Understand," is currently in revision and likely will be published in 2025. It's a memoir about growing up in the 50s and 60s with two mentally ill parents, when poor mental health was not socially acceptable. It's a coming-of-age story about survival.

Claire has been published in Story Circle Network's annual anthology, "Real Women Write," Indiana Voice Journal, Story Circle Network Journal, and various other smaller publishing networks. She is the first place winner of Story Circle’s national “Life writing” contest for 2023. This is her first book.
