Norema Salinas is an international food maven specializing in Spanish food, culture, and entertainment. She has lived in Madrid for a great portion of her life and traveled extensively throughout Spain with her husband and three children who are Spanish. She was the pioneer of modern Spanish catering in Spain in the 1990s with her company Norema Salinas Catering, which she co-directs with her business partner while she lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been back in California since the summer of 2015 when she and her business partner brought Scirocco Wind pop-ups (Spanish Moroccan cuisine theme) to the Bay Area for a few months. She is presently working in catering and event production for Betty Zlatchin Catering in San Francisco, where she is successfully implementing her expertise in international food knowledge and event design.
