The author has had three careers—all built around his love of the English language: first as a high school English teacher, then as a national language arts textbook consultant with a major publisher, and now as an author. His goal is simple: He hopes to write books in every genre: nonfiction, fiction, drama, and poetry—books that people will enjoy.
After more than a decade teaching Writing, Literature, Grammar, Speech, Debate, Drama, Theatre, and Acting—and directing plays and performing in local theatre productions—the author stepped into the role of national sales consultant for a major publishing company. That second career formed the basis of his first book, "Road Warrior A to Z"—detailing the career that took him to all fifty states and six foreign countries, helped him tack on 4.7 million air miles, drive 1.2 million miles behind the wheel, and spend more than 4,000 nights in hotels, motels, and B&Bs.
Once off the road, his wonderful wife inspired his writing career. "You've got stories to tell, Scannell Man. You better start telling them." The author has taken those words to heart. He and his wife lead happy, fulfilling lives with their dogs and cats in the Pacific Northwest.
