Jennie Dial was born and raised in Van Nuys, California, and has lived in various places in Southern California, the San Fernando Valley, and West Los Angeles/Santa Monica. While raising three kids along with several dogs and cats, she had various small business ventures as a legal administration assistant, a realtor, helped out with the family skin care business, and owned her own interior design shop over the years. In 2011 she moved to San Diego and began her business as a mobile notary/loan closer/realtor.
Now relocated to San Antonio, Texas, she is still working as a notary/loan closer but is also pursuing her dream as a writer and helping other women achieve their goals of becoming entrepreneurs.
Jen's background is varied, but her true love is writing and trying out small business ventures. Real estate, interior design, and volunteerism rounded out her first 48 years, and now her notary public/loan closing business keeps her busy as well as her entry into writing children's books and mentoring other women with their small business goals.
She always wanted to write a book and has several unfinished "novels" put away. But her love of reading as a child made her want to write a children's book. Using her husband and dog, Milo, as the basis for her characters, she felt that because they had a plane, they could go anywhere and do so many things. Perfect for a children's series. She wants to promote reading "books" not just cell phones and computers, and also write stories that are not only being enjoyed by children, but by the parents, grandparents and other adults that read to children. Being able to write about people, things and places that are new and exciting as well as giving children a sense of comfort with things they are familiar with is a goal for her stories. It is also important to her to stretch children's vocabularies and have them ask the question, "What does this word mean?" Along with an extremely talented illustrator, Jennie has written a book that delights and challenges young children and hopefully gets them to want to read more about Jack and Milo.
Her hobbies are traveling with her husband, exploring new places and enjoying new places to eat, reading, and hanging out with her family...and, of course, Milo!
